Job Title: PL/SQL Software Developer | Location: Brooklyn, NY | Full-Time

PURVIS Systems is a technology leader in the public safety industry and provides state of the art system solutions to Fire Departments across the United States.  We are seeking resumes for a PL/SQL Software Developer, working on-site at our customer location.

Responsibilities/Experience: 

• Oracle database full life cycle development including data modeling, database architecture, SQL and PL/SQL development, unit testing and support. 
• Optimize and tune SQL queries to maximize speed and scale.
• Knowledge of ORDS. 
• Expertise and extensive experience in PL/SQL Programming including Data Types, Cursors, Exception Handling Collections, Merge statements, Analytics Functions, Views, Materialized Views, Table Functions, Stored procedures, Functions and Packages, database triggers, mutating, Dynamic SQLs, External Tables, Performance Tuning, Object Programming, SQL built in functions, joins, aggregate functions, Collection
• Collaborate with fellow developers, designers, and analysts to solve problems. 
• Create and improve existing reusable database objects.

Qualifications: 

Candidate for the PL/SQL Software Developer position must have Bachelor or Master of Science Engineering or Computer related disciplines.  Candidate must have 5 or more years of industry experience.

Candidate must have good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.  Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.  Must be able to work well alone and with others.  Must be able to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously, as required.
