Job Title: Training Specialist | Location: Newport, RI | Full-Time

Description of Work:

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions company that develops, implements and maintains mission-critical solutions for Federal and Local Governments.  We have a new, immediate opening for a Training Specialist supporting our U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center customer. 

Responsibilities: 

The Training Specialist will:

• Train Submarine officers and crew for Sonar-related carry on equipment, both in-port and underway.
• Develop manuals and curriculum to support these systems.

Qualifications: 

The Training Specialist must have:

• A minimum of 5 years civilian or military Sonar experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and reviewing training documentation for officers and crew.
• Experience with operation of U.S. Navy submarines.
• In lieu of a degree, candidates will be given consideration with relevant experience.
• A Master Training Specialist, Sonar supervisor and/or ships qualification, a plus.

The Training Specialist must have the ability to work closely with Subject Matter Experts and Navy military and civilian personnel.  Individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.

This position may require occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS as well as possible at-sea.  A valid US Passport is required. 

Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
